"100 Days" Goal Tracker
Why build a personal goal tracker worksheet?
📆 In 2018, I started on a journey.
I decided to change careers into programming.
I knew I needed help, though. I had to find anything and everything to help me stay on track and make progress.
The problem was there was a lot of noise.
I didn't have time for fancy worksheets, bullet journaling, or endless task systems. I needed something simple that drove results.
So, I decided to make a worksheet that combined all the best science-backed aspects of setting and achieving goals that I knew would work:
- Choose a super-specific goal that can be completed in 100 days or under
- Break the goal into smaller milestones that you can complete every 1-2 weeks
- Consistent effort > high but infrequent effort
This proved to be beyond helpful. I used a version of this sheet every quarter for two years straight. The simple act of choosing what
What will I get after I download the worksheet?
The worksheet is made to be printed on an A3 piece of paper. This is the only annoying part of the process, but it isn't so bad.
I know most people don't readily have this type of paper. I went to my local office store and printed off a handful of them. Then I had a bunch of copies to last me, or I had extras in case I made mistakes.
Either way, it is yours to use to accomplish whatever goal you have in mind.
Enjoy 😄
Do you have any other advice on how to get the most out of the worksheet?
✏️Use a pencil.
It is unlikely that you will make a perfect plan for the next 100 days. But those changes offer insight and are helpful along the journey. Plan for change and use a pencil so that it is much easier to move a sprint, merge two sprints, or make other changes.
📄 Don't print on both sides.
Before completing the worksheet, I used the empty space on the back to draw mind maps, write random notes, and mostly dump my brain onto the page to get an idea of the scope I wanted to accomplish.
That always made completing the worksheet at least 10x easier.
