👍 Get More Done. Say Goodbye To The Blank Page.

Do you feel stuck? Maybe you feel like you have that great book, product, or company inside of you but you don't know where to start?

What if you could create more than you ever thought possible with less effort?

Well, I have a secret. Lean in and repeat after me...

Avoid the blank page.

🎨 The Tale Of Two Professionals

On a snowy Tuesday morning, Sam and Dan settle into their desks to begin work. Both are young professionals looking to expand their careers.

An urgent email lands in their inbox. A keynote speaker at a prominent conference in their respective industries just dropped out. The organizers are wondering if they could step in as the keynote.

Sam's heart races. He knows this could be a great opportunity but he'd have to pull off all-nighters the rest of the week. To complete the presentation in one day would be impossible.

He declines.

Dan's heart races. He knows this could be a great opportunity and since he's been keeping a Digital Commonplace Book for years, he knows that all he has to do is sort through the rows of endless material and piece together something in a couple of hours.

He accepts.

What's the difference?

Sam stared into the abyss of the blank page. Dan didn't.

Sam had to start from scratch. Dan didn't.

Dan had to put together blocks like he was playing with Legos. If you want to produce prolifically, you need to be a constant collector of what inspires you.

😄 What You Can Expect To Find In The Template

1. 🗂️ Your Inspiration, Organized Effortlessly

Say goodbye to:

  • Multiple subscriptions/apps
  • Chaotic folders spread across those apps
  • Lost notes and orphan ideas on all your devices
  • The dumpster fire that is your notetaking system

Imagine instead, a system where every note, thought, quote, and idea you've collected is perfectly categorized, templatized, and easily retrievable.

A one-stop-shop for simple, stress-free organization of all that inspires you. At your fingertips.

2. 🔍 Find What You Need, When You Need It

There is nothing worse than being in a conversation and knowing you read a quote, story, study, or idea that would land so well in the moment but you can't remember it.

With quick tagging and advanced search features, you'll have access to your entire knowledge base in seconds, making you the most prepared person in any room or discussion.

3. 🔝 Keep The Most Important Things Top-Of-Mind

One problem with most notetaking systems is that once items enter, they rarely come out.

So many things are lost to the depths of poor systems. The Digital Commonplace Book is different.

With the dashboard feature, new items are pulled from the system for your review every day. All you need to do is spend a few minutes reviewing then let the inspiration flow.

You have the freedom to tag each item in the database with a dynamic tag to set the frequency with which the item pops up in the dashboard.

It's like the Facebook "Memories" feature but for all the stuff that lights you up and makes your work better. Or even better, it is like the free version of Readwise.

💬 Why I Created The Digital Commonplace Book

I felt the pain of everything described above.

I had Evernote, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Apple Notes, and countless paper notebooks filled with everything I'd ever learned.

The problem was I had no idea where anything was let alone how I'd use it if I needed it.

I heard Ryan Holiday talk about the importance of keeping a Commonplace Book but I wanted to create a digital version so I went to Notion and got to work.

Within a few weeks, I was sold. I found myself using the filtering features every day as I created blogs, presentations, and other creative projects.

The review feature was the game changer. I was hooked on rediscovering the gems I hadn't seen in years. The amount of inspiration that came unexpectedly from that feature alone has been worth building the template. I was also tired of paying for Readwise so it felt good to have a simpler and cheaper version that I could keep using forever.

That's when I knew I had to share so I created this product for you.

📋 I Got The Template. Now What?

Once you complete the checkout process, you'll be taken to a "Thank You" page with a link to the Notion template.

Make sure you are signed in to your Notion account to make the process easier.

At the top right of the template, you'll see a "Duplicate" button. Once you click it, you'll get to choose where you want to duplicate the template to your own Notion account.

After that, you are ready to start populating with your items.

I included a few "example" items and templates for common items like books, podcasts, articles, stories, etc.

Feel free to keep what you want or delete everything and start from scratch.
